During these days we noticed changes in all aspects of life. Our whole life style is reframed, so as beauty trends are also stricken. Art of self care is in vogue. People’s keen indulgence in creative ways to enhance their looks spiked in popularity, instead of heading to spas.

Beauty trends that prevail now a days comprise of skin focused initiatives and do it yourself (D I Y) endeavors. Personal cosmetics made with kitchen’s ingredients is gaining recognition. Long forgotten upton or lap (face mask made-up of ingredients easily available in kitchen) has come back to limelight.

In these Pandemic days, we were forced to do everything by our won, whether it is household chorus or grooming yourself. I was surprised to see an all time high search was, “How to cut your hair” and not make-up or best lip color.

Things are slowly coming back to normal with each passing day, Pandemic scenario is mending up gradually. Though matter of fact is Mask is still the reality.

Everyone is sought to combat the dreaded mask, so full face makeup took a back seat. When most of the face(if not all) will be hidden by face mask, indubitably you shun thickly made up, foundation laden look.

Protecting natural skin texture and sport a minimal to no makeup look is apropos in current scenario.

Your skin is the window of your body, it reveals the inside story of your health. If you notice flaws in your skin, it means their is some problem deep inside, which needs our attention. Acne, dark circles, excessive dry or oily skin etc. are some common issues which arouses due to irregular life style and not paying attention towards skin care.

1. Sound Sleep

Try to curb your anxiety level for a good sleep, as it is a prominent trait for a healthy skin. A beauty sleep does wonders to your skin. As your skin goes in a repair mode when you sleep. According to dermatology your skin makes new collagen when you sleep. More collagen is equally proportionate to less wrinkles and more healthy glow to your skin.

2. Keep Skin Hydrated

Make up is a helping tool to enhance your looks, but don’t forget before applying it your base, means your skin should be in a ideal situation for better results. To attain this keep your skin hydrated throughout the day. Drink at least 7 to 8 glasses of water. Adequate amount of water intake will help in removing toxins out from the body. Having detox water is a good option for retaining a healthy, glowing acne free skin.

3. Balanced Diet

A healthy glow comes naturally if your health is intact internally. No doubt beauty products laid a helping hand, still to make them work better on you, stick to a healthy diet. Try to find ways to include more and more fresh and seasonal fruits and veggies to your diet, specially fruits which are rich in Vitamin C. Orange, Lemon, Gooseberries, Peppers, Broccoli are some of the easily available Vitamin C enriched fruits and veggies. Try to make them part of your daily diet.

4. Exposure to SUN

As WFH is the new normal, we hardly stepping out in the sun. Exposure to sun is necessary and specially morning sun light is beneficial for health, as it provides Vitamin D to our body naturally. Having said that it is also recommended to put up SPF lotion while going out for your regular shopping needs, as access exposure to Sun can damage your skin.

5. Follow CTM(CLEANSING,TONING,MOISTURISING) steps

CLEANSING: It is the first and the foremost step. As it removes excess oil ,pollutants and dead skin cells off your face. Always wash your face with gentle face wash. Never wash your face with hot water, as it damage your skin, it should be lukewarm or at room temperature. Dab your face with clean and soft towel, don’t wipe it thoroughly. Be gentle with your skin.

TONING: Never under estimate the importance of toning as it minimalizes the appearance of pores and gives your skin a polished look. It is super refreshing and soothes the skin. It helps to retain moisture, so before applying moisturizer, its worthwhile to do toning of the skin.

MOISTURISING: It keeps skin hydrate and makes it look youthful, as it hides the signs of aging like wrinkles and discoloration. Daily moisturization habit will reduce the chances of developing extreme dryness or oiliness.

While stepping out – Apply sunscreen cream, while stepping out during the day, this will help to protect skin from UV rays.

Before going ahead with make-up, I urge you to follow a beauty regime of cleaning, toning and moisturizing.

Stay watchful of the quantity of the products. It should be appropriate, not too less and surely not too much. Cover your face and neck area properly.

If your skin looks and feels good, it consequently uplifts your mood too. So don’t be impassive towards taking care of your skin. Modest leaps in this respect can do wonders on you.
